Master ISO, aperture, shutter speed, and exposure triangle

The Exposure Triangle

ISO

Controls sensor sensitivity. Lower ISO (100-400) for bright conditions, higher ISO (800+) for low light.

Aperture (f-stop)

Controls depth of field. Lower f-number (f/1.4-f/2.8) = blurrier background. Higher f-number (f/8-f/16) = sharper throughout.

Shutter Speed

Controls motion blur. Fast (1/500+) freezes action. Slow (1/30-) creates motion blur.
